Guess who's sitting up on her own????

Riley has hit a new milestone. She can finally sit up on her own. We went ahead and skipped past rolling over. Who needs to roll over, anyway? It's way over rated. She loves to sit in her high chair and watch me do the dishes. I keep telling her to enjoy it from that point of view because as soon as she can reach the sink she'll be doing them! She sits on the floor now and plays with her toys. She topples over occasionally, but over all we are sitting like a big girl. She is officially almost grown up.

Riley is growing so fast! Sometimes I wish I could slow it all down, but every thing she does is so amazing. She is now sitting in her high chair eating her veggies. She loves baby food! She has a hard time swallowing because she gets so excited when I put food in her mouth. She squeals and kicks her feet so hard. We are finally getting to the part of her life where she really wants to participate in life. She smiles at everyone and concentrates very hard on new things. She LOVES to watch the dogs fight. She thinks it's hysterical when they bark at each other and roll around on the ground biting one another. She laughs at them more than anything else.

Riley has this excer-saucer than she got from her Grand Dad and Mimi for Christmas. This thing is the best thing since sliced bread! Riley nearly flies out of the thing bouncing so hard. She jumps like crazy for a few seconds and then has to stop and catch her breathe. She squeals and then bounces some more. I could sit and watch her do that all night. It's the funniest thing. It's also a great babysitter when I'm trying to fold laundry or do dishes.
